Groups Scientific Aims:
SIS Bayesian group was established in 2013.
The group aims to provide a permanent forum for statisticians and other people with scientific, cultural or historical interest in the Bayesian paradigm.
The main group objectives are:
- To create, within SIS, a reference group of researchers ready to debate scientific issues related to the Bayesian approach to Statistics and to promote participation of its members to international research projects.
- To promote and coordinate applied and theoretical research in the field.
- To encourage and organize specialized sessions and ad hoc tutorials at national and international statistical meetings.
- To disseminate Bayesian ideas and methods among young students and scholars in Statistics and other fields.
- To foster the application of the Bayesian paradigm in science, industry, business, finance and official statistics.
